Dragon Hunter: Introduction
Dragon Hunter is a brand-new slot machine. While it is lacking on the feature front somewhat, it is quite addictive. I mean, I had a bit of fun playing it, mainly because the wins started to roll in quite quickly.
Word of Warning
At the time of writing, the Dragon Hunter slot machine had yet to be released. In fact, as far as I know, I am the first person to review it as it was in the ‘testing’ stages. As a result, the game did not have fully-fledged instructions. In fact, the actual instructions for the game were plain wrong. This has made it difficult to review the game fully, because I do not know everything that it offers.
Dragon Hunter Gameplay
The paylines in Dragon Hunter are ‘fixed’. You can’t change the number of lines that you are betting on. I don’t mind this, to be honest. I am going to be better on every single payline anyway, so who cares? The minimum bet is quite low at 10 cents and the maximum is €30.00.
This is a game which follows the ‘Avalanche Reels’ pattern. If you form a winning combination, symbols disappear and new ones fall into their place. This means that you could potentially win several times on a single spin. This is quite handy because the wins do not seem to come in all that thick and fast when you are playing Dragon Hunter, so the more wins per spin, the better.
Since the game was still in a very early stage of development when I wrote this review, there is one feature in the game which still baffles me somewhat. This is the collection of gems. As you play the game and form winning combinations, you may notice some gems next to a few of the symbols. These get added to a small ‘tally’ chart. The problem is that it takes far too long to fill up that chart so you never really know what happens when you get to the end of it. I am hoping that this is something which is going to change in the future, mainly because I really can’t see people spending so much cash filling up that chart. It is too slow, even when you are betting at the absolute minimum you will be blowing through your money like there is no tomorrow.
Dragon Hunter Slot Theme
The theme of the game is very ‘Japanese’. The cartoon characters are almost anime-style. I know that this look is likely not going to be everybody’s cup of tea. I can honestly say that I liked it, though. I genuinely can’t wait until I crack this open on a mobile device. I think the colours are really going to work.
At the moment, there is not much of a game there in Dragon Hunter. It does need some tweaks in order to look amazing. If the company can do that before March, then I think the game is going to attract a fair number of punters.
